(S. reticulatum M.Nota 1 e 2: 1) Árvore de folhas alternas, pecioladas, coriáceas, áureo-tomentosas, de 4-7 cm de comprimento; Do âmago desta árvore extrai-se, por incisão, uma substância resinóide e aromática, em forma de lágrimas, conhecida pelo nome de incenso da América; é encontrado na Bahia e em Minas Gerais. 2) Estende-se da Bahia até São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Goiás; Árvore de caule tortuoso, de até 15 m de altura, folhas alternas e flores brancas.
