Nota 1 e 2: 1) Encontra-se desde o sul da Bahia até Minas Gerais, nas florestas pluviais; O nome deve-se ao fato de não exsudar seiva sanguínea; madeira pardo-clara, passando a vermelho-pardacenta, superfície opaca, moderadamente pesada e dura, bastante durável, fácil de trabalhar. 2) Muito frequente na Hiléia e no Brasil Central; A madeira é amarelada, passando a pardo-avermelhada e é objeto de exploração.

Note 1 and 2: 1) It is found from the south of Bahia until Minas Gerais states in the rainforest; its name is given by the fact that it doesn’t exude sanguineous sap; its wood is light-brown then turning red-brownish, its surface isopaque and moderately heavy and hard, very durable, difficult to work with. 2) It is very frequent in theAmazonian forest and in the Central part of Brazil; Its wood is yellow then turning to red-brownish and it is object of exploration.
