Arbusto da família Myrtaceae, da espécie Eugenia cabelludo Kiaersk (Myrciaria glomerata Berg).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é cultivada sobretudo em Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo; A sua folhagem é densa, baixa, como que entouceirada; As suas folhas são brancas, axilares, agrupadas em 2-3 sésseis; O seu fruto baga é amarelo, profusamente tomentoso, globoso-achatado nos polos, adocicado, refrigerante, comestível, medindo 2-3 cm transversalmente, com um caroço relativamente grande.
