Nota 1 e 2: Ele é originário das regiões montanhosas da Etiópia entre a 7 e a 9º latitude norte; Atualmente é cultivado em todos os continentes, sendo grandes produtores no Brasil os estados de Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná e Espírito Santo; Ele é uma dicotiledônea, perene, de porte arbustivo ou arbóreo, lenhosa, de folhas persistentes e flores hermafroditas.

Note 1 and 2: It is originary from the mountainous regions of Ethiopia between the 7 and 9º north latitude; Currently it is cultivated in all continents and the largest producers in Brazil are Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná and Espírito Santo states; It is a dicotyledonous, perennial, of a bushy or arboreal size, woody, of persistent leaves and hermaphrodite flowers.
