Planta da família Caryocaraceae, da espécie Caryocar glabrum (Aubl.) Pers. (Pekea ternata Poir.; Rhizobus glaber Steud.; R. saouwari Corrêa; R. souari Steud.; Souari arbor Barr.; S. glabra Aubl.; Caryocar toxiferum B. Roiz.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa da mata do norte da América do Sul. Ela é alta de até 30 m de altura, com frutoelipsoidal e 1-4 amêndoas comestíveis.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of the forest of the North of South America. It is tall up to 30 meters of height, with ellipsoidal fruits and 1-4 edible almonds.
