OLEASTRO
Arbusto lenhoso da família Elaeagnaceae, da espécie Elaeagnus hortensis Bieb.
Nota 1 e 2: É originária da Europa, da Ásia (Himalaia). É grande, com 3-4 m de altura, com espinhos e folhas estreitas alongadas, verde-claras na face de cima e prateadas na de baixo e com as margens douradas na forma variegada. A variedade orientalis Schlecht é desprovida de espinhos. Flores nos ramos, perfumadas, pequenas, em forma de sino, amarelas por dentro, acinzentadas por fora, seguidas de frutos vermelho-brilhantes, alongados, ornamentais, formados no verão. Cultivado isoladamente, em grupos ou renques em terra fértil. Multiplica-se por estacas ou sementes.

The variety orientalis Schlecht does not have thorns. Flowers on branches, redolent, small, and bell-shaped; they are yellow inside and grayish outside, with fruits that are bright red, elongated, ornamental, and grow during Summer. This shrub is cultivated separately, in clusters or lines into fertile land. They reproduce by stakes or seeds.
