MAÇARANDUBA-BRANCA
Árvore da família Sapotaceae, da espécie Lucuma procera Mart. (Vitellaria procera (Mart.) Radlk.).
Nota 1 e 2: É originária das matas da Amazônia, presente no Ceará, no alto da parte ocidental da serra do Baturité. Atinge a média de 24 m de altura; folhas elípticas, coriáceas, de ápice acuminado; flores axilares em fascículos de 3-8 corola 2 x 0, cálice; ovário híspido-amarelado, estilete glabro, mais comprido que o ovário. É abundantemente lactescente.

Note 1 and 2: It is originated from the woods of Amazonia and present in Ceará state, on the top of Western area of the Baturité Hills. It reaches up averagely 24 m high; elliptical, coriaceous leaves, with acuminate pinnacle; axillary leaves in fascicles of 2-8 corolla 2 x 0, calyx; bristly yellowish ovary, glabrous stylus, longer than the ovary. It is very lactescent.
