Nota 1 e 2: Ela é predominante na região norte do Brasil. Com suas cascas se prepara um purgativo energético e a infusão de suas flores é empregada como sudorífico. Seus componentes contém a sambunigrina, que é um glicosídeo.

A shrub of the family Caprifoliaceae, of the species Sambucus australis L. (Sambucus ebulus L.).
Note 1 and 2: It is typical of the north region of Brazil. From its barks, an energetic purgative is prepared and its flower infusion can be sudorific. All its components have sambunigrine glycoside.
