Àrvore da família Dilleniaceae, da espécie Dillenia indica L.(D.indica Griff., D.speciosa Thunb., D.elliptica Thunb.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da Índia de Sri Lanka, Java e Filipinas. Ela tem porte mediano, cultivado em todo o mundo tropical pela folhagem sempre verde e suas belas flores. Tem emprego na medicina popular, pois o suco do fruto misturado a uma calda de açúcar é estimado para combater tosses.
