ESPELINA
Planta trepadeira da família Cucurbitaceae, da espécie Cayaponia espelina (Silva Manso) Cogn.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é encontrada com frequência nos estados de São Paulo e Minas Gerais. Suas flores são individuais, brancas. Seus frutos são do tipo pepônio, pequeno, carnoso, avermelhado com sementes brancas e lisas. Ela é dotada de propriedades medicinais, para o tratamento da asma, bronquite, catarro pulmonar, diarreia, hemorragia, epilepsia, etc.
