FEIJÃO-ARROZ
Legume da família Leguminosae (Fabaceae), da espécie Vigna umbellata (Thunb.) Ohwi & Ohashi.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é originário das regiões de Kerala, Himalaia e China Central, em populações silvestres. No Brasil, seu consumo é restrito aos seguidores da macrobiótica. É anual, ereto ou semiereto ou trepador, geralmente muito ramificado. Suas folhas e plântulas (brotos de feijão) novas, suas vagens e grãos verdes e secos são comestíveis.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the regions of Kerala, Himalaya and Central China, in wild populations. In Brazil, its consumption is almost restricted to the followers of macrobiotics. It is annual, straight, semi, or climber very branchy. Its young leaves and seedlings, green and dry pods and grains are edible.
