Planta da família Rosaceae, do gênero Rubus, da espécie R. idaeus L.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa da Europa e Ásia, introduzida nas Américas, mas não se consagrou como grande cultura, assim como no Brasil. Ela é de climas frios, associados à boa disponibilidade de água, em solos ricos e profundos. Exige, também, irrigações e adubações, além de uma armação sobre a qual é conduzida e sustentada.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of Europe and Asia, introduced in the Americas, but without success as a great crop, the same happened in Brazil. It is typical of cold climates associated to good water availability in rich and deep soils. It also requires irrigations and fertilizations, besides a support to be conducted and held.
