Nota 1 e 2: Nativa da Amazônia. O fruto baga ovóide, amarelo, de polpa demasiado ácida para serem saboreados crus, mas prestando-se para excelentes doces e o tronco dá madeira para fins rústicos.

A fruitful tree of the family Myrtaceae, of the species Britoa acida Berg.
Note 1 and 2: It is native of Amazonia. The fruit is round yellow berry, very bitter pulp to be eaten fresh but excellent for making sweets. The wood from the trunk can be used for making rustic furniture. Vulgarization: strawberry guava.
