Arbusto e arvoreta da família Leguminosae Mimosoideae, da espécie Inga blanchetiana Benth.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre nas partes úmidas de Pernambuco e da Bahia (serra da Jacobina). Folhagem nova densamente piloso-avermelhada; fruto vagem também pubescente, mas dourada, achatada, atingindo 25 cm de comprimento e 5 cm de largura, de arilo apoucado, doce e comestível.

A bush or small tree of the family Leguminosae Mimosoideae, of the species Inga blanchetiana Benth.
Nota 1 e 2: It occurs in the humid part of Pernambuco and Bahia (the Jacobina mountain range). The new foliage is dense and red; the fruit pod is also pubescent, golden and flat, reaching 25 cm long and 5 cm wide, its aril is poorly developed, sweet and edible.
