Planta da família Iridacea, da espécie Neomarica gracilis Sprague.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da restinga do Brasil. Ela é herbácea, rizomatosa, entouceirada, perene, de 40-60 cm de altura, de folhas ornamentais laminares, longas, brilhantes e dispostas em leque irregular. As inflorescências são eretas, simples ou pouco ramificadas, de flores brancas, com manchas amareladas, azul-arroxeadas na ponta das pétalas, formadas na primavera-verão. As flores abrem de manhã e duram somente um dia.

It is herbaceous, rhizomatous, bunchy, perennial, of 40-60 cm of height, with long, laminar and shining ornamental leaves disposed in an irregular fan. The inflorescences are upright, simple or a little ramified of white flowers with yellow and purple blueish spots at the end of the petals, which grow in spring and summer.
