TANNER GRASS
Capim da família Gramineae, do gênero Brachiaria, da espécie Brachiaria arrecta Stent. (Brachiaria radicans Napper).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da África Equatorial, ocorrendo ao longo do vale do Paraíba do Sul e nas áreas baixas do Sul de Minas Gerais. Ela é perene, sub ereta, de nós inferiores radicantes, com folhagem suculenta e cor-verde escura. Vegeta preferencialmente em locais úmidos ou alagados, não tolerando solos secos.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the Equatorial Africa, and occurs in Brazil along the Valley of Paraíba do Sul and in the lowlands of the south of Minas Gerais state. It is perennial, sub erect, of radical inferior knots with a juicy and dark green color foliage. It grows preferably in humid or flooded places, not tolerating dry soils.
