TAPEINNÓQUILO
Planta da família Zingiberaceae, da espécie Tapeinochilus ananassae K. Schum.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é procedente da Malásia. Ela é herbácea rizomatosa entouceirada, de 1-1,5 m de altura, com hastes eretas retorcidas na extremidade. Folhas coriáceas, dispostas em espiral. Inflorescências terminais sustentadas pelas hastes originadas do rizoma com brácteas vermelhas, vistosas, contendo flores amarelas, semelhante a um ananás. Pode ser cultivada em vasos grandes, isoladamente ou em conjuntos a meia-sombra no solo. Multiplica-se por estacas ou por divisão de touceira.

Note 1 and 2: It is from Malaysia. It is herbaceous with rhizomes in clumps of 1-1.5 m of height with erect stems twisted at the extremity. Coriaceous leaves disposed in spiral. Terminal inflorescences held by stems from the rhizome with red and bright bracts and yellow flowers similar to a pineapple. It can be cultivated in big pots, individually or in groups, half shade in the soil. It multiplies itself by stakes or clump division.
