TAUARI
Nome comum de quatro plantas da família Lecitidaceae, das espécies: 1) Cariniana micranta Ducke 2) Couratari coriacea Mart., 3) Couratari martiana (Berg) Miers. (Lecythis martiana Berg.), e 4) Couratari tauary Berg.
Nota 1 e 2: Elas são nativas da Amazônia e das Guianas. Tem porte grande de 20-50 m de altura, tronco cilíndrico de até 1,5 m de diâmetro, casca escura, folhas longo-acuminadas, ovais, inteiras e luzidias.

Note 1 and 2: They are native of Amazonia and the Guianas. They are tall, reaching 20-50 m of height, cylindrical trunk of 1.5 m of diameter, dark bark, long acuminate leaves, which are also oval, whole and shinning.
