Árvore da família Leguminosae/Cesalpinaceae, da espécie Sclerobium chrystophyllum Poepp.
Nota 2: Ela pode atingir até 30 m de altura, de copa densa oval, lenho alvo. Folhas com 3-8 pares de folíolos, oblongos ou elípticos, face superior glabra, inferior seríceo-brilhante. Pecíolo comum de 15-30 cm de comprimento, panícula composta de espigas densifloras. Flores sésseis, brácteas largas, côncavas, menores que os botões. Legume séssil oblongo, obtuso na base e no ápice, lenhoso, plano-achatado, indeiscente, com uma semente sub arredondada no meio.

Its legume is oblong sessile and obtuse base and apex; woody, flat, indehiscent with one sub round seed in the middle.
