LÍNGUA-DE-TIÚ
Planta da família Bixaceae, da espécie Casearia sylvestris Sw.
Nota 2: Produz resina cor âmbar. Possui valor terapêutico, tais como: anti-inflamatório, antiartrítico e antirreumático, provido da cocção das folhas e da casca. Para uso interno é diurético, tônico para o coração e regulador da obesidade. Externamente é usado contra picada de cobras, eczemas, sarnas, úlceras e manchas de origem sifilítica.

Note 2: It produces amber resin color. It has therapeutic value, such as: anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic and anti-rheumatic, provided by the cooking of leaves and skin. For internal use it is diuretic, tonic to the heart and a regulator of obesity. Externally it is used against snake bites, eczema, scabies, ulcers and syphilitic spots.
