Nota 1 e 2: Ele é oriundo do Japão, mas cultivado no Brasil. Ele é herbáceo, bulboso, ereto, não ramificado, de 0,60-1,20 m de altura, com folhas geralmente horizontais, elípticas, espessas e de coloração verde-escura.
