A small tree of the family Caricaceae, of the species Jaracatia heptaphilla A. DC.
Note 1 and 2: It is from Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo forests. Its trunk is covered by spikes, which show after the leaf falling. Its fruit, if it is eaten in excess, causes indigestions.
