Nota 1 e 2: Espécie africana, introduzida no Brasil pelos negros, cujas sementes aromáticas são altamente estimadas. Suas folhas são enormes, as flores bem perfumadas e os frutos grandes, lembrando a noz-moscada.

Note 1 and 2: It is from Africa and introduced in Brazil by the black people, whose aromatic seeds are highly estimated. Its leaves are enormous, the flowers are perfumed and the fruits are big, which remind the nutmeg.
