MARACUJÁ-DO-ARARIPE
Trepadeira da família Passifloraceae, da espécie Passiflora tricuspis Mast.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é brasileira ornamental, da Serra do Araripe (Piauí), mas também distribuída por toda a Amazônia brasileira, peruana e boliviana; assinalada no Paraguai e nos estados de São Paulo, Santa Catarina e Rio Grande do Sul. Caule anguloso, comprido e liso. Folhas polimorfas, com 2-3 lóbulos. Flores brancas e axilares, com 3-5 cm de comprimento e filamentos inteiramente brancos. Fruto globoso, com 1,5 cm de diâmetro. Floresce e frutifica de agosto a abril no sul do Brasil.

Note 1 and 2: It is Brazilian, ornamental from the Serra do Araripe, in Piauí state, but also distributed around the whole Brazilian, Peruvian, and Bolivian Amazonia; distinguished in Paraguay and in Brazilian states of São Paulo, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul. Angular, long, and smooth stem. Polymorphic leaves, with 2-3 lobules. White and axillary flowers, with 3-5 cm long and completely white filaments. Rounded fruits, with 1.5 cm of diameter. It flourishes and bears fruits from August to April in the South of Brazil.
