Árvore da família Araliaceae, da espécie Dendropanax cuneatum (DC). Dcne. et Planch.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre na Amazônia, em Minas Gerais, em São Paulo, no Rio de Janeiro e em Mato Grosso. Tem tronco que pode atingir de 6 a 14 m de altura e 25 a 35 cm de diâmetro. Folhas simples, lisas, de 12 a 20 cm de comprimento por 4 a 8 cm de largura, com pecíolos de 4 a 6 cm. Apresenta madeira mole, leve, de fraca resistência ao apodrecimento e ao ataque de insetos; presta-se, porém, para obras internas. É ornamental, melífera e produz frutos que atraem pássaros. Propaga-se por sementes, de pouca longevidade, que são distribuídas em canteiros semi-sombreados. A emergência ocorre normalmente em 20 ou 30 dias, e ao atingirem 5 ou 6 cm de altura, são transplantadas para embalagens individuais e nelas permanecem por mais 4 ou 6 meses, quando podem ser transferidas para o local definitivo.

Simple and smooth leaves, of 12 to 20 cm long x 4 to 8 cm wide, with petioles of 4 to 6 cm. It has soft and light wood, of weak resistant to rot and insects attack; it is useful, however, for internal works. It is ornamental, melliferous, and it bears fruits that attract birds. It propagates itself by seeds, of small longevity, which are distributed in semi shade flowerbeds. Its origin occurs usually in 20 or 30 days and after reaching 5 or 6 cm high, are transplanted to individual containers and they stay for more 4 or 6 months in them, when they can be relocated to a definitive place.
