Nome vulgar de planta da família Leguminosae-Papilonaceae, da espécie Stylosanthes guianensis Sw. var. viscosa.
Nota 1 e 2: Vegeta da América Central ao Peru e, no Brasil, é encontrada com mais frequência nos estados de Goiás, Tocantins, Minas Gerais e Rio de Janeiro. Ela é forrageira, perene, forma touceiras de longas hastes de cor cinza-clara, cujas folhas e principalmente as flores são viscosas. Resiste bem à seca, é tolerante à antracnose, mas não suporta o frio e o excesso de umidade.

Note 1 and 2: It inhabits from Central America to Peru and, in Brazil, it is found more often in the states of Góias, Tocantins, Minas Gerais, and Rio de Janeiro. It is forage, perennial, clumping shaped with long white gray stems, whose leaves and especially flowers are viscous. It resists very well to drought, is tolerant to anthracnose (canker), but it does not resist to cold temperature and excess of humidity. Vulgarization: stylo, Brazilian stylo, Brazilian lucerne.
