Árvore de nome indígena da família Araliaceae, da espécie Dydimopanax morototoni.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre no Brasil (Rio de Janeiro, Venezuela e Colômbia). De porte alto e elegante, de fuste ramificado somente no ápice, com belas folhas digitadas e amplas panículas terminais, com flores e frutos inconspícuos. Fornece madeira branca, leve, para mercenaria.
An indigenous designation to the tree of the family Araliaceae, of the species Dydimopanax morototoni.
Note 1 and 2: It occurs in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Venezuela, and Colombia). Ithas a high and elegant size, of branched stem only on the apex, with beautiful digitate leaves and long terminal panicles, with inconspicuous flowers and fruits. It provides white, light wood, for carpentry. Vulgarization: matchwood.
