Subarbusto da família Labiatae, da espécie Thymus vulgaris L.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é cultivado de norte a sul no mundo todo. Ele tem de 10-30 cm, de caules lenhosos, eretos, tortuosos, formando uma touceira cerrada. As folhas verde-brancacentas, muito aromáticas, enroladas nos bordos e cobertas por extenso tomento na face superior. As flores são róseas ou brancas, inflorescências globosas ou em espigas.

Note 1 and 2: It is cropped from the north to south from all over the world. It has 10-30 cm of height, straight and crooked woody stems, making a dense and closed clump. Its leaves are whitish green, very aromatic, tangled in the sides and covered with an extensive tomentum in the superior face. Its flowers are pink or white and its inflorescences globous or in spikes.
