Palmeira da família Arecaceae, da espécie Euterpe edulis Mart.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre naturalmente do sul da Bahia e Minas Gerais até o Rio Grande do Sul, na floresta atlântica e em Goiás, no Mato Grosso do Sul, em São Paulo e no Paraná, nas matas ciliares. Produz palmito na base das folhas. Suas raízes são bem visíveis na superfície do solo e o tronco é usado em construções rurais.
A palm tree of the family Arecaceae, of the species Euterpe edulis Mart.
Note 1 and 2: It occurs naturally from South Bahia and Minas Gerais to Rio Grande do Sul, in the Atlantic forest and in Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, and Paraná, in riparian woods. It produces heart of palm on the leaf base. Its roots are quite visible on soil surface and the trunk is used in rural construction.
