Árvore da família Theaceae, da espécie Laplacea semisserrata (Mart. e Zucc.) Camb.
Nota 2: Seu tronco possui casca grossa e sulcada. As flores são axilares, solitárias ou agrupadas 2 ou 3, pedicelo robusto, cálice com fendas irregulares, pétalas alvas, inteiras de 12-15 mm de comprimento x 10 mm de largura, numerosos estames em coroa, anteras biporosas e pequenas no ápice. Floresce de setembro a outubro.

Note 2: Its trunk has thick furrowed bark. Its flowers are axillar, single or in groups of 2 or 3, huge pedicel, irregular cut calyx, white and whole petals of 12-15 mm of length x 10 mm of width, crowned numerous stems, double porous small anthers in the apex. It blooms from September to October.
