TRIPA-DE-SAPO
Planta daninha da família Amaranthaceae, da espécie Alternanthera philoxeroides (Mart.) Griseb.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da América do Sul, e espalhou-se por quase todo o mundo tropical e subtropical. Ela é aquática, herbácea, perene, estolonífera, ereta ou ascendente, de 30-100 cm de altura, com reprodução por sementes ou estolões. Infesta principalmente lavouras de arroz irrigado, chegando a dominar a cultura e ainda canais de drenagem, lagoas e represas.

Note 1 and 2: It is from South America, and was widespread for almost all over the tropical sub-tropical world. It is aquatic, herbaceous, perennial, stoloniferous, and erect or ascendant, of 30-100 cm of height, and its reproduction is by seeds or stolons. It mainly infests irrigated rice crops, dominating them, besides draining channels, lakes and dams.
