Palmeira da família Palmae, da espécie Astrocaryum leiospatha Barb.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da flora de Mato Grosso. Ela é cespitosa, estipes em touceira, densamente acauleados, folhas pouco arqueadas, acúleos longos, divergentes e pretos, espádice ereta, pedúnculo inerme, flores 2-3 distanciadas entre si, fruto drupa oblonga, amarela. Fornece fibra de qualidade regular.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the flora of the Mato Grosso state. It is caespitose, stalks in clumps highly stemless, little arched leaves, black long and divergent spines, erect spadix, pseudo peduncle, 2-3 flowers separated from each other, yellow oblong drupe fruit. Its fibers are of fair quality.
