Planta da família Boraginaceae, da espécie Cynoglossum amabile Stapf. & Drum.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da China, invasora de pastagens. Considerada ornamental, herbácea, perene. Seus frutos terem garras, que aderem à roupa e ao pelo dos animais. Inflorescências longas, eretas, com flores azuis, róseas ou brancas. Pode ser cultivada como bordadura ou em maciços formados em canteiros ricos em matéria orgânica e irrigados periodicamente. É empregada como anual, renovando-se no começo do outono, para florescer melhor durante o inverno nas regiões de clima quente. Reproduz-se por sementes.

Note 1 and 2: It is from China, invading fields. It is an ornamental, herbaceous, perennial plant. Its fruits have claws, which stick to the clothes and the animals’ hair. Long, erect inflorescences, with blue, rosy or white flowers. It can be cultivated as flowerbeds or in clumps grouped in beds rich in organic material and irrigated periodically. It is used as annual, renovating itself in the beginning of fall, to flourish better during the winter in the regions of hot climate. It reproduces by seeds. Vulgarization: Chinese hound's tongue.
