Nota 1 e 2: Seu habitat é Mato Grosso. Espique robusto, cilíndrico, liso, cinzento, esparso-curto-aculeado, de até 7 cm de altura x 15 cm de diâmetro; folhas de 2 m ou mais de comprimento, aglomeradas na extremidade, pecíolos inermes; flores dispostas em espádices de 80-90 cm, aculeados na base, protegidos por espata quase do mesmo tamanho. Fruto drupa globosa de 3-3,5 cm de diâmetro, monosperma e bisperma. A maturação dos frutos ocorre em agosto.

Its stipe is robust, cylindrical, smooth, grayish, sparseshortaculeate, of until 7 cm high x 15 cm of diameter; leaves of 2 m orlonger, grouped in the extremities, defenseless petioles; flowers disposed in spadices of 80-90 cm, aculeate on the base, protected by spathe almost of the same size. Globose drupe fruit of 3.0-3.5 cm of diameter, with one or two sperms. Its fruit maturation occurs in August.
