MORANGA
Fruto da família Cucurbitaceae, da espécie Cucurbita máxima Duch.
Nota 1 e 2: Seus cultivares podem ser encontrados no Nordeste e no Centro-sul do Brasil, porém todos de frutos achatados, com gomos pronunciados e, quando maduros, de cor vermelho-coral bem característica. No estado de São Paulo, o comércio tem grande preferência pela moranga-exposição, de polpa amarelo-forte, sem fibras, relativamente enxuta e produtiva.

Note 1 and 2: Its cultivars are found in the Northeast and Central South regions of Brazil, however they have flattened fruits, with accentuated segments and, when ripe, of a very peculiar coral red color. In São Paulo state, the market has great preference for the one, which has a strong yellow pulp, without fibers, relatively dry and productive.
