Arbusto da família Myrtaceae, da espécie Hexachlamis humilis Berg.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é típico da flora do estado de São Paulo. Ele é lenhoso, de raiz comprida, rasteiro, caule curtíssimo, ramos ascendentes, finos e cilíndricos. As folhas são eretas, sésseis, opostas, coriáceas, alongadas, lineares, obtusas, pubescentes quando novas e lisas quando adultas. O fruto é drupa grande, globosa, amarela, doce-acidulada, comestível e saboroso.

Note 1 and 2: It is typical of the flora of São Paulo state. It is woody, of a long root, creepy, very short stem, cylindrical thin ascendant branches. Its leaves are erect, sessile, opposite, coriaceous, elongated, linear, obtuse, pubescent when young and smooth, when adults. Its fruit is a big drupe, which is also globous, yellow, sour sweet, edible and tasty.
