Palmeira da família Palmae, da espécie Manicaria saccifera Gaertin.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela ocorre no Amazonas e no Pará. Ela apresenta espique simples ou em touceira, com 0,5-10 m de altura e diâmetro de 15-20 cm, mostrando remanescentes dos pecíolos e outros fragmentos. As folhas são grandes, pinadas e pregueadas usadas na cobertura de construções, inflorescência interfoliar, e frutos globosos, bilobados ou trilobados, castanhos, revestidos por pequenas saliências pontiagudas piramidais. É de muito interesse ornamental.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs in the states of Amazonas and Pará. It has a single stipe or clump, with 0.5-10 m of height and 15-20 cm of diameter, showing petiole and other fragments remains. Its leaves are big, pinnate and wrinkled used in construction as a covering, inter foliar inflorescences and globous, bi lobate or tri lobate, brown fruits, covered with pyramidal sharp small saliences. It is highly required as ornamental.
