DAMASCO
Planta frutífera da família Rosaceae, da espécie Prunus armeniaca L. (Armeniaca vulgaris Lam.), destacando-se as variedades: Ambrósio, Desfarges, Luizet, Nancy e Paviot.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da Sibéria à China e introduzida há muitos séculos na Europa. É pouco exigente de solos, mas detesta os argilosos úmidos, é sensível a as geadas, especialmente as tardias que destroem as floradas. Seu fruto é intermediário entre o pêssego e a ameixa.

Note 1 and 2: It is from Siberia to China. It was introduced in Europe centuries ago. It does not require rich soils, but cannot stand frosts, especially the late ones because they destroy their flowering. Its fruit is between the peach and the plum.
