DIGITALINA
Planta da família Scrophulariaceae, da espécie Digitalis purpurea L.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é originária da Europa e Ásia e introduzida nas Américas. Ela tem caule herbáceo, cilíndrico, de 50-1,20 m de altura, folhas rugosas, alternas, grandes, oblongas, que diminuem o tamanho em direção ao topo. Suas flores são grandes, dispostas em espigas terminais, de coloração púrpura. Tem emprego como ornamental, florífera e medicinal. Utilizada como diurético, sedativo e narcótico, sendo a digitalina, seu princípio ativo. Considerada altamente tóxica.

Its leaves are wrinkled alternate and oblong, which grow smaller towards the top. Its flowers are big and disposed in terminal spikes, of a purple color. It has ornamental, flower and medicinal properties. It can be used as a diuretic, sedative and narcotic, being the digitalis its active principle. It is considered highly toxic.
