Árvore da família Lecythidaceae, da espécie Lecythis parviflora Aubl. (Eschweilera parviflora Miers.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa das Guianas. Ela tem folhas pecioladas, oblongas, acuminadas. Suas flores em racemos terminais, paniculados, de pétalas medíocres, subagudas, de cor amarelo-vivo. Os frutos são subglobosos, não lenhosos, encerrando 1-2 sementes oleaginosas, comestíveis. Sua madeira é de qualidade.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of the Guianas. It has petiolate oblong acuminate leaves. Its flowers are in terminal racemes in panicles of tiny and sub-acute bright red petals. Its fruits are sub globous, not woody, with 1-2 oily and edible seeds. Its wood is of good quality.
