CEBOLA
Planta da família Alliaceae (Lilaceae), da espécie Allium cepa L. (A. schoenoprasum), sendo os cultivares mais comum o Baia Periforme, Baia Periforme precoce Piracicaba, Texas Early Grano, Granex 33, Piraouro, Piratropical e Jubileu.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é uma espécie condimentar de grande importância mundial cultivada em todo o Brasil, exceto na região Norte. Ela é bienal, propaga-se por sementes. A primeira fase do ciclo se encerra com a formação do bulbo que é o seu produto de maior importância. Depois de um perído de repouso no solo ou em galpões, o bulbo frutifica, ocasião que um pendão floral é formado com grande número de pequenas flores, para em seguida frutificar.

Note 1 and 2: It is an herb highly used in culinary all over the world, cropped in Brazil, except in the North region of the country. It is biennal, propagating itself by seeds. The first cycle finishes with the bulb formation, which is its main product. After a resting period on the soil or in sheds, the bulb bear fruits showing a flower penducle with a great number of small flowers, so it can bear fruit again.
