Árvore da família Anonaceae, da espécie Xylopia grandiflora St. Hill. (A. xylopioides Dun., Xylopia xylopioides Stand., Unona acutiflora Dun., Unona xylopioides Dun., Uvaria febrifuga H.B.H., Xylopia longifolia A.DC.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ele ocorre do Panamá à Amazônia e por Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais até São Paulo. Ele pode atingir de 3-5 m de altura e habitante comum da orla de bosques e cerrados. Os ramos são horizontais, flores alvas, grandes, tripartities, que surgem na primavera.

Note 1 and 2: It occurs from Panama to Amazonia and in the states of Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais até São Paulo. It can reach 3-5 m of height and it is commonly found in the coaster of woods and cerrados. The branches are horizontal, the flowers are white, big and tripartide, which flower in spring.
