CEREJA-CORNÉLIA
Arbusto da família Cornaceae, da espécie Cornus mas L. (C. máscula Hort.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é originário do sul da Europa. Ele é pode alcançar de 2- 8 m de altura, as folhas são ovais, agudas, de pouca pubescência em ambas as faces, verdes, medindo 4-10 cm de comprimento; as flores são amarelas, vistosas, em umbelas sésseis, que surgem antes do enfolhamento da planta; e os frutos são drupas oblongas, vermelhas, pequenas, semelhantes a uma azeitona, podendo atingir 2 cm, comestíveis, mas adstringentes e de sabor acre.

Note 1 and 2: It is native of the south of Europe. It can reach from 2-8 m of height; its leaves are oval, acute, green of little pubescence on both faces, measuring 4-10 cm of length. Its flowers are bright yellow in sessile umbels which sprouts before the plant leafing. Its fruits are small red oblong drupes of until 2 cm, similar to an olive, edible but adstringent and of sour taste.
