Planta forrageira da família Gramineaceae, do gênero Bromus, das espécies B. inermis Leyss, B. catharticus Vahl, B. marginatus e B. arvensis e variedades: Achenbach, Fischer, Lincoln, Elsberry, Lyon e Lancaster.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é frequente na região Sul do Brasil, infestando principalmente cerais de inverno, beira de estradas e terrenos baldios. Ela é perene, se caracteriza pelo hábito cespitoso, atingindo até 1 m de altura, com produção de grande número de colmos e abundante folhagem. Ela é resistente a baixas temperaturas, e, por isso, indicada para a formação de pastagens de inverno e primavera.

Note 1 and 2: It is frequently found in the south region of Brazil, infesting mainly winter grain crops, road coasters and abandoned fields. It is perennial, grows in bunches, reaching until 1 m of height, great colm production and abundant foliage.It is resistant to low tempratures, therefore, suitable to winter and spring grazings.
