Árvore da família Icacinaceae, da espécie Poraqueiba guianensis Aubl. (Barreira guianensis Räusch., Barreira theobromaefolia Willd., Heisteria anonyma Scop., Poraqueiba surinamensis Miers.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é nativa das Guianas e Amazônia. Ela pode atingir até 16 m de altura. As folhas são alternas, simples, subcoriáceas, nervuras pubescentes. As flores são pequenas arrumadas em racemos. O fruto é baga pequena, oblonga e recurva, amarela, com polpa amarela também, escassa, farinácea, doce, toleravelmente comestível.

Its flowers are small berries, which are oblong and recurved, yellow with a yellow pulp too, scarce, flowered, sweet, but tolerably edible.
