Planta da família Rubiaceae, da espécie Pentas lanceolata Schum.
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é oriunda da África tropical e Arábia. É herbácea, perene, pubescente, de 30-60 cm de altura, de folhagem e florescimento decorativos. As inflorescências são densas, terminais, ramificadas, com muitas flores vermelhas, róseas, brancas e arroxeadas, muito visitadas por beija-flores e borboletas. Multiplica-se por estacas e sementes, que germinam espontaneamente próxima à planta.

It multiplies itself by stakes or seeds, which germinate spontaneously next to the plant.
