Planta da família Gramineae, da espécie Sorghum halepense (L.) Pers.
Nota 1 e 2: Ele é originário da região mediterrânica e invasor de lavouras anuais e perenes e ao longo de rodovias em grande número de países, incluindo o Brasil. Ele é perene, ereto, rizomatosa, herbáceo, entouceirado. Os colmos são serosos e com pilosidade nos nós, medindo 1,0 a 2,0 m de altura. Multiplica-se por sementes e por rizomas.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the Mediterranean region and an invader of annual and perennial crops and also along the highway coasters in many other countries, including Brazil. It is perennial, erect, rhizomatous, herbaceous and clumpy. Its culms are waxy and hairy in the nodes, measuring 1-2 m of height. Its multiplication is by seeds or rhizomes.
