Árvore ornamental da família da Fabaceae, do gênero Erythrina, da espécie Erythrina verna Vell.
Nota 1 e 2: Ocorre principalmente no estado de São Paulo, no vale do Paraíba, como floresta ombrófila. Ela pode chegar acima de 20 m, com diâmetro de 50 cm, espinhenta, decídua, de madeira de baixa durabilidade, usada na fabricação de forros, caixas, cepas de tamanco e pasta celulósica. Propaga-se por sementes ou por estacas.
An ornamental tree of the family Fabaceae, of the genus Erythrina, of the species Erythrina verna Vell.
Note 1 and 2: It occurs mainly in the state of São Paulo, in the Paraíba Valley as an ombrophily forest. It can reach more than 20 m of height and 50 cm of diameter, thorny, deciduous, of low durability wood, which can be used in the manufacturing of linings, boxes, clog heels and cellulosic paste. It can be reproduced by seeds or stakes.
