Planta da família Convolvulaceae, da espécie Quamoclit hederifolia Choisy (Ipomoea heredifolia L.).
Nota 1 e 2: Ela é natural do Brasil. Ela é herbácea, volúvel, anual, de ramagem fina. As folhas são inteiras ou com três recortes profundos. As inflorescências são axilares, curtas com flores vermelhas, pequenas, em forma de funil. Adequadas para revestir grades, cercas ou pórticos. Multiplica-se por sementes que podem ser utilizadas no decorrer do ano todo.
