QUIABENTA
Cacto da família Cactaceae, da espécie Quiabentia zehntneri Britt & Rose (Pereskia zehntneri).
Nota 1 e 2: É originária da Bahia. As folhas, devidamente cozidas, são comestíveis e têm sabor de quiabo. Ele tem terríveis espinhos na base do tronco servindo para cercas vivas nos áridos sertões nordestinos. Os frutos são oblongos, de 6-7 cm de comprimento x 1,5 cm de diâmetro.

Note 1 and 2: It is from the Brazilian state of Bahia. Its leaves properly cooked are edible and taste like okra. It has sharpened thorns at the trunk base functioning as a living fence in the arid northeast drylands. Its fruits are oblong, of 6-7 cm of length x 1.5 cm of diameter.
